ESL banned Snap Tap at CS2 LAN Tournaments
The tournament organiser ESL has officially banned the use of Razer's Snap Tap feature and similar scripts at their LAN tournaments for Counter-Strike 2, starting with ESL Pro League Season 20, which begins next week.
Currently, this rule does not apply to online competitions, as organisers lack adequate means to monitor compliance, according to the announcement. A similar decision was previously made by BLAST.
Recently, the developers of Counter-Strike 2 also issued an official statement prohibiting the use of Snap Tap and various binds that produce similar effects on official game servers.
ESL Pro League Season 20 will take place from 3 to 22 September in Malta, with a total prize pool of $750,000.
