ElectroNic about Cloud9: "The lineup is very competitive"

Virtus.pro player Denis "electroNic" Sharipov shared his thoughts on the upcoming match against G2 at the Esports World Cup 2024. In an interview with HLTV.org, the Russian esports athlete expressed surprise at the recent changes in G2's roster.

"To be honest, it was quite surprising that they removed HooXi. But yesterday, they showed they are ready to play well. It’s hard to say anything definitive about the roster; time will tell. They’re currently in their 'honeymoon phase,' and you always need to look at the long-term picture, but we’ll see tomorrow when we play against them. We’ll prepare as usual, nothing out of the ordinary."

Sharipov also shared his thoughts on the new Cloud9 roster for Counter-Strike 2, believing the American team has assembled a strong lineup.

"The roster is quite competitive, with no weak link. Interz is a good anchor, and if I’m not mistaken, HeavyGod can play the lurker role well. Those were his roles at some point. It will all depend on how they develop as a team, their performances, and their overall mood, so to speak. But yes, they have a competitive roster. ICY is a good sniper, Ax1Le is a strong player, interz is a good anchor, HeavyGod is a solid player, and BoombI4 is an excellent captain, so it’s all in their hands."

Yesterday, Virtus.pro defeated Vitality 2-1, securing a spot among the top four teams at the Esports World Cup 2024. Today, the team will face G2 in a match for a place in the championship final.
