Team Spirit's player, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, discussed the pressure from fans and critics in an interview during the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 for CS2. He also commented on his team's debut performance at the tournament.
When asked if he was satisfied with the team's performance in their first playoff match, Kryshkovets admitted:
"Not entirely. It’s great to win the first match of the tournament, but we lost a few unfortunate rounds on Dust2 during the attack. It means we still need to work on this map. But winning is, of course, satisfying."
Regarding the pressure from fans and critics, Kryshkovets mentioned that he no longer feels significant pressure, though the criticism still motivates him to improve his game:
"Do you feel pressure from such intense scrutiny? Not really. After IEM Katowice 2024, I felt pressure, but I’ve dealt with it, and now everything is fine."
He added:
"Does the pressure give you extra motivation? I’m not sure. I just want to show my best performance. I want to prove to the critics that I am good at the game."
Team Spirit began their campaign at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 with a 2:0 victory over Team Falcons in the first round of the upper bracket.
