"dastan remains in Virtus.pro." CEO VP commented on the dismissal of the coach

In a brief interview with Cybersport.ru, Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrosyan stated that Dastan "dastan" Akbaev is not leaving the club, despite the announcement that he would be relieved of his coaching duties. According to the head of the "Bears," the possibility of continuing the collaboration with the Kazakhstani specialist will be reassessed after the off-season.

"No one has parted ways with Dastan, and he should not be written off—he remains with Virtus.pro. After the off-season, we will meet and discuss how Dastan's resources and experience can benefit Virtus.pro.

Dastan has been with VP for quite some time, and we have had various periods and results. There was even a period when he wasn't working with the team, but we managed to overcome that and resume our collaboration. Dastan cannot be considered in isolation from everything else. He has been working with Jame for seven years, if I'm not mistaken. During this time, Dastan has changed and developed. I wasn't there for all these stages, but I assume that at each stage, Dastan played a specific role. Now, considering the changes in the roster, we need to understand what role he can and will fulfill as VP in the current situation”.

Petrosyan's comment was made in response to the community's negative reaction to the brief statement about dastan's dismissal. The press release did not acknowledge dastan's achievements, despite him leading Virtus.pro since 2019 and working with the steadfast captain Jami "Jame" Ali since 2017.

It should be noted that at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, VP's coaching duties will be performed by the team's analyst Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev. Rumor has it that the club is interested in signing Andrey "XomA" Mironenko, who spent the last year with 9 Pandas.
