Virtus.pro coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev has been relieved of his duties. The corresponding press release was published on the club's official website.

In the brief announcement, the reasons for the decision to dismiss the Kazakh specialist are not disclosed. Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev, the team's analyst, will take over coaching duties at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.

Interestingly, earlier, insider Alexey "OverDrive" Biryukov revealed Virtus.pro's intentions to replace the team's coach. According to him, at that time, the club was in talks with Andrey "XomA" Mironenko, who has been working with 9 Pandas for the past year.

Dastan has been leading the "bears" since late 2019. Under his leadership, the team became the champion of IEM Rio Major 2022, as well as several other major tournaments, including Flashpoint Season 2, cs_summit 7, and ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022.
