CS2 performance dropped 10% in a year
Data miner Thour compared the current performance of Counter-Strike 2 with metrics from September of last year, sharing the results on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
The tests were conducted on all maps in the game's competitive pool. It was found that the average frame rate has dropped by 10% over the year. The most significant FPS reductions were observed on maps like Overpass (-15.6%), Nuke (-13.74%), and Mirage (-11.73%).
The testing was carried out on a computer with an Intel i5-12400F processor, a GTX 1660 Ti graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM (with medium settings, a resolution of 1920x1080, and Reflex option turned off).
Last night, the developers of Counter-Strike 2 released a minor update, which added options for automatic detection of counter-strafing on unofficial servers.
