CS2 has reduced the cost of Prime status for players from Russia
The developers of Counter-Strike 2 have reduced the regional price of Prime Status for users in Russia—players can now purchase it for 1,290 roubles. Previously, the price for this bundle was 1,400 roubles for Russian players.
The price reduction for Prime Status is linked to the adjustment in the exchange rate of the Russian currency (from 92 to 86 rubles per dollar), which took place at the very end of last month. As a result, the prices of other items in the Counter-Strike 2 in-game store have also changed. For example, a case key that previously cost 225 roubles can now be purchased by Russians for 215 roubles.
In the free version of CS2, players do not have access to Premier mode, for which Prime Status is required. For users with Prime Status, matches are only matched with other Prime Status holders (across all game modes). Additionally, Prime Status allows players to earn experience points, competitive ranks, and CS ratings, as well as receive weekly drops.
On August 9, the developers released a small update for Counter-Strike 2—in it, Valve updated two maps, improved the game’s interface, fixed a boosting bug, and made several other minor changes.
