Legal representatives of RED Canids participant Marcelo "coldzera" David have stated that the accusations from the organization Legacy, which the player previously represented, are unfounded. The esports athlete's lawyers called Legacy's statements "misleading." The words of coldzera's representatives were published on the HLTV.org portal.
David's attorneys noted that he does not have an active contract with Legacy. "The player reserves the right to take any further action against the club using appropriate means, including in connection with the breach of confidentiality by Legacy regarding the dissemination of parts of the contract," the lawyers said. So far, Legacy has not responded to the esports athlete's team statement.
Earlier, the club stated that it was ready to sue David for failure to fulfill contractual obligations. After coldzera moved to RED Canids, representatives of Legacy began contacting event organizers demanding that the player not be allowed to participate in official matches. The former club of coldzera claims that the esports athlete still has a valid contract with the organization, which will expire on December 9, 2024.
