The American esports club Cloud9 has officially unveiled its new Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was made on the organisation's social media page on X.
As expected, the new members of the team are Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, Kaisar "ICY" Fayzullin, and Timofey "interz" Yakushin. Martynenko has been playing for OG since the beginning of this year; Fayzullin recently left AMKAL; Yakushin has been on TSM's bench since February 2024.
Thus, only two players from the previous roster remain in Cloud9 – Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov. To recall, in April of this year, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Abay "HObbit" Khasenov, and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy left the team.
The updated Cloud9 roster will debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, which will be held in Copenhagen from July 26th to August 4th, featuring 16 teams. The event's prize pool is $190,000.
