Bubzkji about replacing Overpass with Dust 2: "Jame just shed a tear"

Bubzkji stated that the map pool update could harm VP.

Today, a significant update was released in CS 2. Dust 2 replaced Overpass in the competitive map pool, as well as in the Premier mode.

"Jame just shed a tear," commented Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen on the news.

Overpass was one of Virtus.pro's best maps. Over the last 3 months, Jame's team played it 11 times with a win rate of 64%. Dust 2 was also part of VP's map pool. In 2022, Jame played this map 26 times on the pro scene with a win rate of 65.4%.

Fans of left-handedness have finally been given this option in the game. But now you won't be able to easily swap hands - changing hands now counts as changing weapons. A rather controversial change.

Overpass was mainly favored by Virtus.Pro, Cloud9, and BetBoom. I don't recall anyone else loving it so much, but Virtus.Pro historically played well and always picked Dust 2, so I don't think it will be a problem for them.

Cloud9 shouldn't have any problems with this change either. On the contrary, Dust 2 may become their main pick. Also, I think Spirit may return to picking Dust 2," reflected Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov.
