Boombl4 on banning joel: "Maybe HLTV.org will start giving out a "Cheater of the Year" award?"

Cloud9’s Counter-Strike 2 player Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov has commented on the ban of BCGame’s player Joel "joel" Holmund for cheating at CCT Season 2 Europe: Series #7. The post was shared on his personal X account.

"Perhaps HLTV.org should start awarding a 'Cheater of the Year' prize?"

Holmund was banned by the anti-cheat during a match against B8 Esports. His team had to continue with a substitute, but the organisers decided to disqualify the team from the tournament.

On 5 July, BCGame announced that joel was removed from the active roster pending an investigation. The organisation stated that it would conduct its investigation and "strive to deliver justice."
