BLAST announced the dates for issuing invites to tournaments in 2025

Tournament organiser BLAST has unveiled new details about its Counter-Strike 2 tournaments planned for next year. Each season will feature four BLAST events: Bounty, Open, Risings, and Rivals. The organisers have also announced the dates for when invitations, based on the official Valve rankings, will be issued for these upcoming competitions.

The BLAST Bounty series will involve 32 teams, with 28 being invited according to the Valve rankings and the remaining four receiving wildcard invites at the organisers' discretion. The tournament will follow a Single Elimination format, with the initial rounds played online, while the top eight teams will compete for the main prize at the BLAST studio.

The BLAST Open events will feature 16 teams, with the final stages taking place at stadiums in Lisbon and London.

The BLAST Risings tournaments will offer a chance for teams that did not qualify for the Open to showcase their skills on the international stage. These competitions will occur across four regions: Europe, North America, Asia, and South America, with 12 teams per region. The winners from each region will advance to the season's premier event, Rivals.

Additionally, BLAST has announced that it will provide further incentives for teams to participate in its tournaments, beyond just the prize money. Teams will receive payments for fulfilling promotional commitments, with BLAST allocating a total of four million dollars for this in 2025. An additional $2 million will be distributed through the Frequent Flyer programme.
