BlameF: “My personal goal in Fnatic is to return to the big stage”

Fnatic CS2 player Benjamin "blameF" Bremer discussed stepping down from captaincy duties upon leaving Astralis. In an interview with Pley.gg, he also outlined his personal goals for his new team.

"The transfer went quite smoothly, without any issues during negotiations. I think our views align. Even before joining the team, I felt like I would fit in well, so joining Fnatic was a good opportunity for me.

My personal goal in this line up is to return to the big stage. I'm confident that's the team's goal as well — to reach the top level."

According to blameF, stepping down from the captaincy position allows him to focus more on his game.

"I'm glad I no longer have to fulfill captaincy duties. Now, I can focus more on my game and aim, which I enjoy the most. With this change in role, I have this opportunity.

If I think about it, maybe I didn't do my job as Astralis' captain well enough. I couldn't get the team on the same page or something like that."

BlameF joined Fnatic in May 2024 after spending two and a half years with Astralis. In the Danish line up, he served as captain, but in the new roster, Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro takes on the in-game leadership duties.
