Russian esports player Evgeny "Aunkere" Karyat has announced that he currently has no plans to return to the professional Counter-Strike scene. In an interview with Esports.ru, Evgeny shared that he is now focused on developing his brand.
"I can't give an exact plan. Right now, I have things I'm working on – my brand. We are collaborating with a tier-1 organisation, and at the same time, I’m managing a YouTube channel. I devote a lot of time to my health: I play tennis and train in the gym. If I want to, I can dedicate all my free time to CS and return to the pro scene. It's not a problem, but for now, there are no such plans.
I play, and I enjoy organising tournaments. I suppose I’m sublimating some aspect of my esports passion this way."
Aunkere's last serious team was NAVI Junior, which he left in 2022. Over the past year, Karyat has played several qualifiers under the tags Benched Heroes and The Witchers. A few days ago, the esports player held his show tournament, the BetBoom Aunkere Cup 2.
