Astralis has changed management
Nikolaj Nyholm, the co-founder of the Danish esports club Astralis, has stepped down from his position as the organisation’s CEO. However, Nyholm will retain his role on the Astralis board of directors.
The CEO duties have been temporarily assigned to Jacob Hansen, who has served as Astralis' Chief Financial Officer since December 2019.
It is worth recalling that Nyholm led the organisation from 2016 to 2019, after which Anders Hørsholt took over the position. In January this year, Nyholm resumed his responsibilities as Astralis' CEO.
The next tournament for Astralis’ Counter-Strike 2 team will be IEM Rio 2024, set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, featuring 16 teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool. Currently, the team holds 18th place in the Valve world rankings.
