AMKAL Introduces New Sniper
The Russian esports club AMKAL has announced a new sniper for their Counter-Strike 2 team – Evgeny "topo-" Ivanov. The organisation revealed this news via Telegram.
Details about the new AMKAL player are scarce – he does not have a separate profile on HLTV. "He is a young talent with 3644 ELO on FACEIT, eager for victory and ready to make a name for himself," reads the club’s official announcement.
The team's coach, Svyatoslav "svyat" Dovbak, had this to say about his new protégé:
"I’m confident that with him, we can become stronger and reach a new level.
Yes, Evgeny might currently lack experience in team play, but the most important thing is that he shows himself to be a hard-working player, which is one of the most crucial qualities for a future professional.
We have a bit of time for Evgeny to understand our playstyle and get acquainted with the necessary strategies, and I’m sure he will soon surprise us all."
Ivanov replaces Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov, who recently joined Cloud9.
It is worth noting that at the recent Skyesports Masters 2024 in Mumbai, the team competed with a stand-in, Vladimir "shady" Karelina from Virtus.pro’s youth roster. AMKAL ultimately finished in 5th-6th place at the tournament.
The current roster of AMKAL is as follows:
- Igor "Forester" Bezotecheskiy
- Alexander "TRAVIS" Timkiv
- Vladislav "Krad" Kravchenko
- Daniil "Sdaim" Tupov
- Evgeny "topo-" Ivanov
- Svyatoslav "svyat" Dovbak (Coach)
