American Team Disqualified From ESL Challenger League Season 48

The tournament operator ESL has disqualified a participant in the 48th season of the ESL Challenger League in the North American region. This pertains to the team Perseverance, which currently ranks 126th in the HLTV world rankings.

According to an official announcement from ESL, the team falsified a request to reschedule a match. As a result, the team has not only been disqualified but also banned for two months from all tournaments by the ESL FACEIT Group.

"Last week, we learned that Perseverance provided false evidence to mislead the tournament administration and secure a match reschedule in the ESL Challenger League. After thoroughly investigating this violation, we decided to disqualify the team from ESL Challenger League Season 48. Additionally, we are suspending the team's participation and its players from all professional competitions organised by the ESL FACEIT Group for two months."

As a result, Perseverance has lost its slot in the Challenger League and the opportunity to compete in the qualifiers for the upcoming IEM Rio 2024, ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024, and ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 championships.

Perseverance Roster:

- John "mds" Marin

- Gabriel "Gabe" Shah

- Collin "CoJoMo" Moran

- Corey "shutout" Freimark

- Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez
