The Swedish esports club Alliance is set to open its academy for Counter-Strike 2. The organisation announced the launch of this project on social media and its official website.
Aspiring members of the Alliance youth roster will need to go through several selection stages under the guidance of the club's head coach, Simon "Hawk" Wavinggren, and main roster player, Simon "twist" Eliasson. Ultimately, they will select five young players (under 18 years old) who will sign a six-month contract with the organisation.
Academy participants will receive mentorship from Hawk and access to the Alliance bootcamp, as well as the opportunity to train with the main roster and other academies. "The goal of the academy is to provide players with a springboard into professional life, increase their visibility, and improve their skills in CS2," stated the official announcement.
The main Alliance roster is currently ranked 91st in the world according to HLTV's rankings of the strongest teams.
