A data miner reported a wave of VAC bans in CS 2.
"A wave of VAC bans is starting, it's not very large yet; we need to wait a few days/weeks to see the full picture. But as of today, their number has increased by 12 times compared to the last few months.
All previous waves were 'game bans.' This statistic is based on 10+ million tracked accounts on the ConVars Eagle website. We are waiting for other sites with larger databases to confirm this information," wrote data miner Maxim "GabeFollower" Poletaev.
Earlier, GabeFollower discussed the state of anti-cheat.
"Developers are still updating things related to VACnet, so apparently, it's not fully implemented yet," wrote the data miner.
VACnet is an AI-based anti-cheat that learns and detects cheaters based on specific patterns of behavior by dishonest players.
