1WIN kicked three players and a coach

The esports organisation 1WIN has announced significant changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was made on the 1WIN Telegram channel.

The club has moved three players to the bench and put them on the transfer list: Sanjar "neaLaN" Iskhakov, Timur "buster" Tulepov, and Boris "Ryujin" Kim. Additionally, the team's coach, Asset "Solaar" Sembiev, has left as a free agent. As a result, only two players remain in the squad: Vladislav "lattykk" Vydrin and Abay "HObbit" Khasenov.

The organisation’s Operations Manager, Vladimir "Kayos" Ivanov, commented on the decision:

"When forming the roster, we decided to fully trust the authority and experience of the coach. Unfortunately, by the middle of the season, it became clear that the team was not developing at a pace that satisfied us. Looking back, it’s evident that replacing Јuо was not the best idea.

At the RMR, we saw a classic example of Murphy's Law: 'If something can go wrong, it will go wrong.' Despite all efforts, we were unable to resolve Ryujin’s visa issues, and the team played in the bootcamp without a full roster. This understandably had a negative impact on both motivation and performance.

We are now focusing on younger, more driven players. CS2 is a new game, and the younger generation adapts much faster. We have the highly experienced and capable Abay ready to lead the younger players. Therefore, we are prepared to take another step back to achieve the results we are aiming for, even if it takes longer than we would like."

As a reminder, 1WIN failed to qualify for the European RMR tournament ahead of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, having lost all their matches in the closed qualifier. Currently, the roster is ranked 80th in the HLTV rankings.

The current 1WIN roster:

- Vladislav "lattykk" Vydrin

- Abay "HObbit" Khasenov
